Red Hawk Supports Los Angeles Hope for Firefighters

BOCA RATON, Fla., June 7, 2018 — The Red Hawk Fire & Security LLC, team in Los Angeles is joining thousands of Angelinos to raise money for the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund, the official charity of the Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Association.

The Hope for Firefighters event in downtown L.A. is an annual fun festival featuring live music, food prepared by fire station “chefs” and “Muster Games” where corporate sponsored teams vie for prizes in competitions like the “bucket brigade”, the “life net catch” and fire hose cart pull.

“This is a fun event with a serious purpose. Firefighters are the ones who answer the call whenever the community needs help in emergency situations. No matter the danger, they are in the front lines to protect us all. So it is really an honor to help them in this way, to say thank you and to support them should they ever need help,” said Red Hawk’s LA Operations Manager Henry Palos.

Founded more than a century ago, the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund is a non-profit, charity dedicated to helping the families of Los Angeles firefighters injured or killed in the line of duty or facing other crisis. The first Hope for Firefighters event in L.A. was held in 1998 as a tribute to fallen firefighters and has grown into the charity’s largest annual fundraiser.
